For the 12th consecutive year, The Coca-Cola Company has received a 100 percent rating from the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) based on an in-depth analysis of workplace policies and practices for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) employees.

To achieve a perfect score, companies must have fully inclusive equal employment opportunity policies, provide equal employment benefits, demonstrate their commitment to equality publicly and exercise responsible citizenship.

HRC is the largest LGBT civil rights organization in the U.S. Every year, the group publishes its Corporate Equality Index (CEI) as a benchmark for LGBT workplace inclusion at large U.S. companies. This year’s index featured more than 947 employers spanning nearly every industry and geography.

This year, 609 businesses met every criteria and earned a 100 percent rating and the designation of being a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.” This is the highest number of 100 percent-rated businesses in the history of the CEI. The first index in 2002 had 13 top-rated companies.
