“Drink Up” was the rallying cry in the appropriately-named city of Watertown, Wis. yesterday, where government, business and the community came together to encourage all Americans to drink more water.
The Coca-Cola Company’s Mary-Anne Somers, Vice President of Water, Tea and Coffee, joined the First Lady of the United States and the Partnership for Healthier America (PHA) in support of this effort aimed at promoting water consumption. Over a dozen companies, including beverage industry leaders, have committed to raise awareness of the Drink Up initiative.
Coca-Cola is committed to helping people make informed choices and joining an initiative to educate Americans on the importance of drinking water was a no brainer. Staying hydrated throughout the day can contribute to a healthy and balanced lifestyle, not to mention keep you refreshed! Don’t be surprised if you start feeling the need to Drink Up. A logo featuring the memorable words will soon appear on bottled water packaging and advertisements across the country. Coca-Cola will feature the DASANI logo and the Drink Up water drop together on our websites and DASANI bottled water packaging.
