It’s official: the world's fourth-busiest airport is now part of the Coca-Cola family.
Months of hard work paid off on Feb. 4 when the Board of the Dallas Fort Worth International (DFW) Airport voted to make Coca-Cola its beverage provider. The new 10-year agreement means travelers and airport visitors soon will enjoy the full portfolio of Coca‑Cola sparkling and still beverage products.
“All of us at Coca-Cola are excited that the more than 64 million people who visit DFW Airport annually will soon travel refreshed with our broad portfolio of Coca-Cola products, including our wide range of low- and no-calorie beverages,” said Mark Schortman, president, Southwest Operating Unit, Coca-Cola Refreshments. “Our Coca-Cola Refreshments team of Bob Sweeney, Ed Naudin and Derek McCoy, along with our partners at Coca-Cola North America, have strongly demonstrated what we can achieve by working together and combining the power of our brands and the strength of our operations.”
Under the agreement, Coca-Cola will provide bottle/can and fountain products to DFW’s restaurant, retail and vending locations starting in March. DFW had served competitive products for the last 20 years.
