The company also was recognized for standing up on behalf of equality for all Americans, including its recent signing as an inaugural member of the HRC’s Business Coalition for Equality, formed to support the Equality Act (H.R. 3185 and S. 1858). The Act establishes explicit, permanent protections against discrimination based on an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity in matters of employment, housing, access to public places, federal funding, credit, education and jury service.
“We cannot step back but must keep moving forward in our advocacy and opposition to all manners of repression, and we look forward to our continued partnership with the Human Rights Campaign,” concluded Wilton.
