Welcome back to 52 Songs of Happiness, a unique way to discover new acts from around the world. Every other week we’ll be introducing some of the world’s best new artists, featuring dance, rock, hip-hop and everything in between. Each amazing new act has crafted a one-off song for Coca-Cola Placelists based around a location. Listen to the first tracks below!

The first two artists are the fantastic new French synth-pop band La Boutique and the Cuban-born DJ and producer Maah3z.

La Boutique

La Boutique shift the flair and glamour of 70s disco right up to the present day. Their song for 52 Songs of Happiness ‘Ce Soir C’est Friday’ travels through different eras of dancefloor music, introducing disco, house, funk, and electro elements. We met one half of the band, Fed Conti.

Tell us about the music of La Boutique.

We make music that fits as part of a fashionable and underground music scene, a mélange of 80s pop with a contemporary club sound. The songs created by La Boutique are ‘couture music’, which is stylish and chic, and that ‘fashion feeling’ is also reinforced by lead singer Aurora’s French character.

What music and live events do you have lined up for the summer?

We have three singles in preparation, one coming out very soon. Then we are touring clubs in Italy, London and Paris, of course.

Tell us about the location you have chosen for your Placelist and why does it inspire you?

Paris is a vibrant city with a very strong cultural heritage and history, it is a very creative and dynamic place to be. When we wrote the lyrics to our entry for 52 Songs Of Happiness, ‘Ce Soir C’est Friday’, we visualised a massive crowd on the Champs Élysées, celebrating the love of life.

Maah3z's music brings the flavour and rhythms of Cuba and Venezuela via the Miami clubs. This Cuban-born star has been causing a real stir in the EDM scene in recent months with a mix of dubstep, electro, reggaeton and latin, Maah3z’s music is inspired by the city of Miami and its top DJs. We caught up with him.


Tell us about your music.

I count Afrojack, Swedish House Mafia, Major Lazer and Dave Nada as my influences, and so my music flows from there. It’s a smooth mix of Latin rhythms, electro, trap & dubstep.

What do you have lined up for the summer?

I'm working on my debut album that will be released at the end of the year. The support and encouragement from my fans online has been phenomenal.

Tell us about the location you have chosen for your playlist. 

I’ve chosen Miami, as it felt the most appropriate choice to create a Placelist. The foundation in my music comes from here, and I have selected some funky beats to suit everyone’s liking.

Josh Burke

Josh Burke is VP of Marketing and Direct to Brand Partnerships at Music Dealers. From Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Josh has been a musician since a very early age. After receiving a degree in Jazz Performance from Roosevelt University, Josh was a professional jazz musician and promoter, organizing fashion and music events around Chicago. Josh joined Music Dealers during its early stages in 2009, where he developed the Rights Administration department and served as Director of Operations until moving into heading up the Marketing and Direct to Brand teams.

In August 2011, when Music Dealers forged a partnership with Coca-Cola, Josh moved to Atlanta to work out of Coca-Cola's HQ full time as Music Specialist in Coke's Worldwide Sports and Entertainment Marketing team.

Together with Dan Kuypers, he is the creator and curator of the 52 Songs of Happiness campaign.
