It’s that time of year when fashionistas are changing handbags and trading linen dresses for long skirts and leather pants. Luckily, finding the perfect bag to carry around your essentials will be an easy task, thanks to Diet Coke and celebrity fashion designer Whitney Port. Today, Diet Coke revealed this fall’s “it” bag – the winning tote bag design for the Diet Coke Tastemakers Project. Trendsetters can find it now at U.S. Target stores.

Earlier this summer, the No. 1 no-calorie soft drink invited Port to create four Diet Coke-inspired tote bag designs, celebrating individual style and great tastes. Fans had the opportunity to choose which tote they wanted to see on store shelves, and today Diet Coke debuted the fan favorite – “Love & Peace.”

Stylish yet playful, the winning design showcases peace signs and hearts surrounding a silhouette of the iconic contour bottle like bubbles. In Port’s words, the design celebrates some of the most important sentiments in her life – love, peace and, of course, Diet Coke. Fans can pick up the limited-edition tote bag now at all U.S. Target stores, with the purchase of Diet Coke and while supplies last.

“Everyone has a personal taste when it comes to fashion,” said Melissa Schwartz, brand manager for Diet Coke. “We cannot wait to see how fans across the country style their Diet Coke tote bag this fall.”

Recently, Diet Coke had the opportunity to sit down with Port to discuss the winning design and hear how her personal taste inspired her creative process. Check it out:
