Taking on the curation of our next ‘happy’ playlist on Spotify is British garage rock trio Band Of Skulls.

Take a couple minutes to watch the music video for their song "Asleep at the Wheel."

The band toured extensively since the release of their first album Baby Darling Doll Face Honey in 2009, supporting some of the biggest names in rock including Queens Of The Stone Age, The Black Keys and Red Hot Chili Peppers to name but a few.

Their third studio album Himalayan was released in March of this year with a series of festival dates planned for this summer to support it.

Here is their happy-themed Spotify playlist:

We caught up with the band to find out more about their playlist, the new record and life on the road...

1. You recently released your third album Himalayan. What were your inspirations both for making the record and coming up with the title?

We made this record in London over 2013 so were inspired by city. The title was our setting a gauntlet for ourselves to make an epic record

2. You’ve toured pretty extensively with a lot of amazing bands. Whose been your favorite band to play with and why?

Queens Of The Stoneage as they were the biggest and toughest, and so we had to be good so that they wouldn’t beat us up!

3. Where are you happiest, on the road or in the studio?

We like both!

4. Talk us through the songs on your Spotify playlist and why you chose them.

It would take us a long time to go through a collection of 30 songs, but they were all chosen as a collection about happiness.

5. We believe that happiness is better shared; please can you pick a song from your playlist and tell us who you’d like to share it with?

We would have to chose Hoochie Coochie and share it with our road crew who now all know and love it so well!

6. Lastly, what does happiness look like for you in 2014?

A smash hit record with Himalayan!
