Staying fit and keeping off the extra pounds isn’t just about being healthy. It’s about self esteem. That’s the message in the latest Huffington Post testimonial by Jake Steinfeld, CEO of Body by Jake Global and chairman of the National Foundation for Governors’ Fitness Councils.  An idol on the weight training and fitness circuit, Jake talks about growing up as an overweight kid. Everything changed when his dad bought him a set of weights at age 13, he writes. The weights built up his confidence as well as his muscles. His foundation today is spreading the word by installing state-of-the-art Live Positively Fitness Centers in schools around the country that demonstrate an ability to promote physical activity in innovative, inspiring ways. Jake credits Coca-Cola as one of several companies helping to make the centers possible. The key is instilling a “don’t quit” attitude to fighting childhood obesity. “By giving schools the tools, we can be assured of making great strides,” he writes in the piece, titled “Declaring War on Childhood Obesity.”  Read the story here.
