The Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) included The Coca-Cola Company on its 16th annual list of America's Top Corporations for Women's Business Enterprises (WBEs).

As the only national award honoring corporations who are choosing to integrate policies and programs to enable growth and reduce barriers for women-owned businesses, Coca-Cola is committed to increasing opportunity in markets – both domestically and internationally; fueling innovation; and, empowering communities through economic growth and job creation.

In March 2016, WBENC honored The Coca-Cola Company with a Platinum Distinction at its Summit and Salute to Women's Business Enterprises in Phoenix. The distinction recognized companies who are setting higher standards for leading practices, while driving innovation in all areas supporting women’s business enterprises. Darlene Nicosia, Vice President & Chief Procurement Officer, accepted the award on behalf of the company.

“At The Coca-Cola Company, we have an enduring commitment to build sustainable communities, with a strong focus on supplier diversity,” says Nicosia. “Our support for organizations like WBENC furthers our mission to make a positive difference around the world.”

Founded in 1997, WBENC is a leading third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women, with over 12,000 WBENC-Certified WBEs.
