New York Fashion Week is in full swing, and to celebrate this trendsetting event, EKOCYCLE has teamed up with Swagger New York and Los Angeles’ ADBD to ask big questions about fashion and sustainability. The thought on everyone’s mind: Which city has the biggest influence on style coast to coast — New York or Los Angeles?

Sian-Pierre Regis, Editor and founder of the renowned culture blog Swagger New York, has this to say:

“New York is really the style capital of the world. There’s so much inspiration to feed off of on the streets, that even the most stylish person is inspired to step up his/her style game.”

EKOCYCLE art director and ADBD creative director Adam Derry sees things just a little differently:

“Los Angeles is about NOW - what’s new, fresh, unique.  It’s a place where cultures collide, the streets act as backdrops and individuality is everything.  There are no rules here when it comes to fashion.  And we dress accordingly.”

What’s your take? What do you want people to think when you walk into a room? Why is sustainability important to style?

Check out the 30 models that Adam and Sian-Pierre hand-selected (including indie designer Rembrandt Duran of Adeen), to see how they answer these and other questions on our blog.
