The Coca-Cola Santa has a long history which all started in 1931 when the Company used the then-little known artist Haddon Sundblom's images in advertising. Not too long after, in 1935, Rockwell pitched his version of Old Saint Nick as a possible alternative. What happened? Coke rejected Rockwell's offer.
