Christian Polge is President of Coca-Cola North America’s Canada business unit. In this role, he leads the development and execution of strategic plans that drive value for the community of stakeholders in Coca-Cola brands.
Polge joined Coca-Cola Enterprises SAS in Europe in 1989 and held a number of senior management positions including France Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Paris-Ile de France Region Director and France Retail Commercial Director.
He subsequently served as President of Coca-Cola France from 2005 to 2010. During his tenure, he created a culture that led the business unit to become the fastest growing in Europe in volume, profit and market share. Major achievements included the roll-out of proprietary bottles for Coca-Cola, Fanta and Sprite, pioneering the launch of Coca-Cola Zero and other packaging and formulation innovations.
Prior to his current role, Polge was the General Manager of Franchise Operations for Coca-Cola’s Northwest Europe and Nordics business unit. In this role, he merged four business units into one multi-country organization covering the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg and the five Nordic countries. He played a leading role with key bottlers Coca-Cola Enterprises and Carlsberg in aligning on plans to deal with a difficult economy. Polge was also instrumental in creating and leading a long-term European commercial strategy initiative.
Polge is a former President of Institut Français du Merchandising, the premier French retailer and supplier association, as well as a former President of the Soft Drinks Association in France. He has also served on numerous boards including Union des Annonceurs, innocent Drinks, and the French Food Association.
Polge holds a Master’s degree from Edhec Business School and is an alumni of the Insead Advanced Management Program.
