In late 2003, Curt became Senior Regional Director for the Western Africa region, based in Morocco. In January 2005, he was appointed President of the North and West Africa Division, based in Cairo. He became President of the North and West Africa Business Unit, responsible for 27 countries in 2007, and his responsibilities increased to include the Middle East region as well as Pakistan and Afghanistan (a total of 34 countries) in 2011.
Curt is an active member of the community, having served as Chairman of the Community Services Association Board, Chairman of the Cairo American College Board, board member of the Bilateral Fulbright Commission, and Vice President of AmCham Egypt. In 2002, while Curt was responsible for the business in Egypt,
Curt holds a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Finance and Management from Indiana University and is a graduate of the Executive Development Program at Stanford University, and the Executive Management Program conducted by Wharton and Emory Universities. He currently serves on the International Committee for the Indiana University Foundation.
