Mr. Kelvin Balogun assumed the leadership of the Nigeria Franchise in February 2011, and is leading the development and execution of a system-aligned, multi-year plan to re-energize the business and deliver Coca-Cola’s growth potential in Africa’s second largest market.
Kevin joined The Coca-Cola Company in 1999 as Strategic Planning and Business Development Manager for Coca-Cola Nigeria, after a ten-year consulting career at Accenture. In 2002, he moved to East Africa and successfully repositioned the business in several markets as Country Manager for the Horn of Africa and Kenya, respectively, and Franchise Manager for Kenya and Tanzania in 2004.
Between 2007 and 2008, Kelvin served as Strategy Director for Coca-Cola East & West Africa Business Unit covering 27 markets, before he was appointed General Manager, East Africa Franchise, comprising Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia and Mozambique.
Kelvin holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Finance) from the Goizueta School of Business at Emory University in Atlanta and a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria.
