Thompson to Lead Annual "Partners In the Promise" Awards

ATLANTA, July 17, 2012 - The Coca-Cola Company has announced
as its new Vice President of Global Supplier Diversity, leading a critical component of the Company's long-term strategy for growth. In this role, Thompson will lead and promote the Company's well-established efforts to maximize procurement opportunities with diverse businesses as suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.

A respected Coca-Cola leader, Thompson has held roles of increasing responsibility within the Company for more than 25 years, including Executive Assistant to the President of the Africa Group, controller of The Coca-Cola Trading Company, and Company liaison in national and international communication arenas such as the World Economic Forum, the Prince of Wales Business Leaders Forum and the International Chamber of Commerce.

"We are committed to building upon our Company's success in Supplier Diversity, continuing the momentum and integrating this important function across our vast business System," said Ron Lewis, Chief Procurement Officer. "Terrez is a seasoned business executive and brings unique insights into how Supplier Diversity can be a key driver to how we do business in the communities we serve."

The Company plans to continue supporting Supplier Diversity as a critical component of its 2020 Vision, which includes a system priority to "achieve true diversity" by the end of the decade.

From 2000-2005, Thompson led The Coca-Cola Company's efforts to commit to spending $800 million with minority-and women-owned businesses over a five-year period.

The Company exceeded these goals with a total spend of $1 billion, which has continued to grow. In 2010, the Company spent more than $652 million with diverse suppliers, followed in 2011 with $767 million, an increase of 18%.

Earlier this year, Thompson's division was honored with a Top 10 ranking on's 2012 Div50 list -- an annual list that recognizes top organizations for multicultural business opportunities. Thompson is also leading The Coca-Cola Company's annual "Partners in the Promise" Awards on July 19, which honors the success and contributions of diverse and majority suppliers in the community who have excelled in the areas of quality, delivery of products and services.

"While we are proud of the strides we have made in creating a world-class supplier diversity program, I am most excited about the work ahead of us as we achieve 'true diversity' across our supply chain as part our system's 2020 Vision," Thompson said. "I look forward to accelerating this important work throughout our global supplier community."
