One third of Africa’s population does not have access to clean water. Two thirds of the population does not have access to proper sanitation
Replenish Africa Initiative (RAIN): What We’re doing
In 2009, The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation (TCCAF) launched RAIN and committed US$30million dollars to help create a better quality of life for communities in Africa by improving access to clean drinking water.
Today, RAIN is benefiting 1 million people in 33 of Africa’s 55 countries through water projects that improve water access and sanitation and, provide hygiene education. By 2015, 2 million people will have improved access to clean water from RAIN projects across Africa
How we are doing this:
RAIN is made possible through a commitment of US$30 million from the Coca-Cola Company. TCCAF is collaborating with over 140 organizations from civil society and governments, to implement community projects. Our partners provide development expertise and funding.
