As a longstanding partner and supporter of the Olympic Movement, the Coca-Cola Company shares more than just history with the Games. It believes in the values people demonstrate every day beyond the podium, celebrating the spirit of competition, friendship and the pursuit of excellence. Since 1928, it has seemed only natural that watching the Olympics goes hand in hand with drinking an ice-cold Coke.
Through fully integrated campaigns and partnersips with top-notch athletes, Coca-Cola’s still brands will bring excitement both on and off the field. Each brand is rolling out unique programs fit to its own style. True to its adventurous spirit, vitaminwater has teamed up with soccer star Megan Rapinoe for a “Be a Tryathlete” program ahead of the Rio Olympics, aimed at inspiring fans and Olympians alike to seek out bold, new experiences.
Meanwhile, Minute Maid spoke to the hearts of the public with its #doingood campaign featuring a video of swimmer Missy Franklin reading a letter to her parents thanking them for their years of sacrifice and celebrating the great job they have done raising an Olympic athlete.
And that is not all. ZICO, the official coconut water of the Olympic Games, is featuring two extraordinary athletes, men’s diving gold medal winner David Boudia and U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team member Ali Krieger, as brand ambassadors for its ‘What’s Inside Is Everything’ campaign.
And POWERADE is bringing back an iteration of its hit "Just a Kid" program with Claressa Shields, women’s boxing champ, and Lopez Lomong, men’s track and field star, as well as an Olympic boxing hopeful Shakur Stevenson. This edition of the program shines a light on athletes from humble beginnings and their journey on the road to Rio, giving voice to stories of overcoming adversity and the potential hidden within everyone.
Lastly, Core Power paired three-time, all-around World Champion gymnast Simone Biles to celebrate everyday people achieving personal health and wellness goals in the "Everyday Awesome" campaign.
