Doctor. Mango Farmer. Businesswoman. Engineer. Artisan. Chef.

When children dream of who they’ll be in the future, there is often an unmistakable influence of the inspiring women in their lives.

These women are their grandmothers, mothers, aunts, cousins and neighbors. These women, regardless of what corner of the world they live in, are a bold inspiration for future generations as well as their families, friends, co-workers, employees, partners, and their communities.

They are among the 5 million women that The Coca Cola Company is working to empower by 2020 through its global 5by20 initiative.

Through their livelihoods as farmers, suppliers, retailers, distributors, artisans or recyclers, these women are bringing their own drive and passion to worthwhile and challenging projects that have a deep local and global impact. In honor of these extraordinary women, the following film was developed to shine a light on their inspirational stories and the impact they are making on the future generation.

Mateus
“I want to be a doctor to take care of my grandmother and mother,” says Mateus, age 10

In this new video, meet the future generations of 5by20 entrepreneurs. Listen to Gavin Joel, Jasmine, Danilo, Trisha, Mateus, Griffin, Daniella, Monica and Caroline as they share their dreams.

“When I grow up, I want to be a successful businesswoman like my Mum,” says Trisha, age 12

“I want to be a doctor to take care of my grandmother and mother,” says Mateus, age 10

“I want to be an engineer when I grow up,” says Griffin, age 10

“I feel proud about my Mum because she fights for her dreams,” says Caroline, age 18

The children who bear witness to their hardworking moms, aunts and grandmothers are not only the inspiration but also the benefactors. These women entrepreneurs are building, nurturing, and motivating future generations to be the best that they can be. With strong, successful women as role models, this future generation is learning how to follow their dreams, and develop an outlook of community, social and ecological responsibility. And they will then pass these skills and learnings on to others, creating even more positive impact. That’s real change. And it starts with these exceptional women to inspire them.
