Sustainable Agriculture

The Coca-Cola Company's commitment to responsible citizenship includes conservation of natural resources and protection of the soil, water and climate required to sustain life on earth. As we consider new ways to make a difference in the communities where we operate, we recognize that many of our greatest social and environmental impacts occur in our agricultural supply chain.

Agriculture touches the lives of billions of people. It plays a vital role in society not only by providing sustenance required for human survival, but also as the world's largest industry and its biggest employer.

The Coca-Cola Company does not own any farms and therefore has less direct control over the agricultural supply chain. However, we have significant opportunities within our global supply chain to develop and encourage more sustainable practices to benefit suppliers, customers and consumers. While we are still in the early stages of exploring these opportunities, we are committed to the health and economic vitality of the farming communities our supply chain engages.
