Russia is playing host to the 2016 International Ice Hockey Federation World Championship, which kicked off May 6. The world's best hockey teams will face off in the state-of-the-art Ice Palace arena in Moscow and the Yubileiny sport arena in Saint-Petersburg.
The tournament will be the biggest international sporting event held in Russia this year, with 400,000 spectators watching 64 matches.
