Between now and June 30, Global Shapers are invited to submit programs that address the world’s most challenging problems, with the opportunity to win money to expand their initiatives.
Past Shaping a Better Future winners have gone on to provide solar lighting to school children in Kenya, lifesaving technology for hospital patients in India, and most recently, critical community support in post-earthquake Nepal.

Four Winners of the Shaping a Better Future Grant Challenge will receive:
- $10,000 in acceleration grant funding
One Grand Prize Winner will receive:
- $10,000 in acceleration grant funding
- Plus special engagement and project amplification opportunities with senior

Eligibility Criteria:
- Only Global Shaper Hub projects will be considered. Individual projects are not eligible.
- Joint Hub projects will be considered.
- One application per Hub.
- The project must have been started by the time you apply.
Applications need to cover the following factors:
- The problem being addressed by the Hub project.
- The solution it intends to create to solve this problem.
- The team and roles / responsibilities.
- The expected impact of the Hub project on the community (number of beneficiaries, indirect benefits).
- How the Hub would use a $10,000 grant to further develop and scale the Hub project.
The criterion for selecting Winners is based on the following factors:
- Severity of issue addressed
- Number of lives positively impacted by the Hub project
- Efficiency of solution
- Scalability of the Hub project and potential for replication
