Joao Marcelo Ramires is the President of The Coca-Cola Company’s South Latin business unit.
Previously, Ramires was Vice President of Operations for the Brazil Division of The Coca-Cola Company based in Rio de Janeiro. He was responsible for leading the Franchise and Customer and Commercial Leadership functions in the company’s fourth largest business unit. In this role, he also led the company’s key customers and 10 bottling partners to a new level of collaborative planning and execution of the Brazil business unit’s strategy.
Prior to that, Ramires served in other operational roles in Brazil from 2010 to 2013, including General Manager in charge of Eastern and Southern Brazil and Field Unit General Manager for Northern and Northeastern Brazil.
Ramires has also served as COO and board member of Tokyo Coca-Cola Bottling from 2007 to 2010; as CEO of F&N Coca-Cola in Singapore from 2005 to 2007; as General Manager of Refrescos Guararapes in Brazil from 2003 to 2005; and in other finance and CFO roles within the Coca-Cola system in Brazil. Prior to joining The Coca-Cola Company in 1998, Ramires worked for AT&T in Brazil as CFO and for Ernst & Young as a Senior Auditor.
