Issue to be addressed
Globally marine pollution in both the ocean and inland waterways is one of the most pressing environmental concerns of our time. This grant opportunity focuses on Australian coastal and inland waterways.
In the application organisations must:
By 2025, prevent and significantly reduce marine pollution of all kinds, in particular from land-based activities, including marine debris and nutrient pollution.
The purpose of this Sustainable Development Goal is to sustainably manage and protect marine and coastal ecosystems from pollution, with as much as 40% of the ocean heavily affected by pollution and impacts of other human activities.
