We’ve all seen them: the people clothed head to toe in green on St. Patrick’s Day, either with the large leprechaun hats on or the t-shirts that exclaim, “Kiss me, I’m Irish!” Well, that’s the more obvious way to avoid getting pinched on St. Paddy’s day, but why not try a different approach this year by subtly adding green to your outfit?
Here’s my chic style guide on how to incorporate green into your outfit just by accessorizing!
Sunglasses: You can always bring an extra element to an outfit by adding a cool standout pair of sunglasses. When you’re not wearing them on your face, hang them from your purse or wear them on your head!
Earrings: Adding earrings with a splash of green is a great way to incorporate the spirit of St. Paddy’s day into your outfit. It’s a subtle addition and, yet, will bring so much color to your face and overall look.
Stilettos: My favorite addition to the outfit, of course! While it can be hard to find the perfect pair of green stilettos, when you do, it will be a great added element to your outfit. Remember, the stilettos don’t have to be entirely green. Try a pair with a green pattern or even just a hint of green. This way they will be perfect for both the holiday and year-round!
Nail Polish: Polish, a sometimes forgotten about accessory, is an excellent way to add some fun and spirit to your St. Paddy’s day outfit. Try a classic green color like OPI’s “Jade is the New Black” (left) and mix it up with a different shade of green on the "party nail." Or lighten it up with OPI’s “Green-wich Village” (right). If you’re feeling really adventurous, try some shamrock nail art with a kelly green background!
I hope you’re able to try just one or all of these style tips on St. Patrick’s Day! Remember, if you forget to wear green, you may have a pinch coming your way!
