The first weekend of NCAA® March Madness® delivered more than its share of surprises, with buzzer-beaters, historic upsets and earlier-than-expected exits dashing the hoop dreams of some fans and keeping others’ alive for at least another game. But even if your team is still dancing, chances are your bracket is either busted or busting at the seams.
Today, as the NCAA Sweet Sixteen® tips off and hoops-related chatter on social media ramps back up, Coke Zero is getting in on the action with a series of humorous online vignettes featuring basketball great and TV analyst Kenny “The Jet” Smith.
In the 15- and 30-second videos and social media posts – which the brand is releasing in the days leading up the 2016 NCAA Men’s Final Four® in Houston – Smith takes a tongue-in-cheek look at “some things you shouldn’t try with your busted bracket.” Each video ends by revealing something you should try: Coke Zero.
“NCAA March Madness and Smith are both great fits for Coke Zero’s consumer base of sports enthusiasts,” said Anne Carelli, senior manager, entertainment marketing,
