Coca-Cola Consolidated recently held a grand opening for its new Ridgeland, S.C. sales and distribution center. The 40,000-sq.-ft. facility opened May 7, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony officially welcoming the distribution center to the Jasper County community.

The facility, which handles sales and distribution of Coca-Cola products throughout Jasper, Allendale Beaufort, Colleton and Hampton counties, has 78 employees and serves more than 1,200 convenience stores, restaurants and other retail and foodservice customers in the Lowcountry area. The warehouse moves 10,000 to 15,000 cases of Coca-Cola beverages each day.

The event included remarks from Ridgeland Mayor Joey Malphrus, S.C. Senator Margie Bright Matthews and County Councilmen Marty Sauls and Henry Etheridge.
