BOSTON – In celebration of the Boston Red SoxTM 2018 World Series® win, Coca-Cola is giving Red Sox fans a refreshing way to savor the sweet taste of their beloved team’s record-breaking season.

Coca-Cola today unveiled a limited-edition, 16-oz. can to honor the Red Sox. The commemorative cans, available starting this week at participating New England retailers, feature the official World Series® Champions mark including the Red SoxTM logo, saluting the team for its remarkable 2018 season. The 106-year partnership between Coca-Cola and the Boston Red SoxTM is the longest in Major League Baseball®.

“Congratulations to the Boston Red SoxTM,” said Mark Francouer, president, The Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Northern New England (CCNNE). “Thank you for providing fans across New England and beyond with an exciting season culminating in another championship. CCNNE is most honored and proud to be a long-time partner of the Boston Red SoxTM, and we look forward to helping Red Sox NationTM celebrate this historic season with commemorative cans.”

Following a regular season in which they won a franchise-best 108 games, the Red SoxTM defeated the Los Angeles DodgersTM 5-1 in game five Sunday night for the Club's ninth title and fourth since 2004.

To commemorate this storied connection, the iconic Coca-Cola Corner in left field at Fenway ParkTM got a refresh. The fully-turfed, picnic-ready space – which features a retro food truck serving up Coca Cola floats with Fenway Franks, a hand-painted mural of the Boston skyline, and framed bottle cap art of the FenwayTM facade made from Coca-Cola glass bottle caps – replaced the famous Coca-Cola contour bottles that have towered over the Green MonsterTM since 2004.

In April 2017, Coca-Cola proudly became official MLB® soft drink partner. Through the multi-year agreement, The Coca-Cola Company and its soft drink brands are engaging Baseball fans through MLB Advanced Media (MLBAM)’s digital platforms including MLB.com, Club web sites, MLB.com At Bat and Ballpark mobile apps, official MLB social media accounts and advertising on MLB Network and MLB.tv, in addition to serving Coca-Cola products at the 18 stadiums where Coca-Cola has pouring rights.
