For the second year in a row, The Coca-Cola Company ranks as the most effective marketer in the world and brand Coke is the world’s most effective brand, according to New York-based Effie Worldwide’s global 2016 Effie Effectiveness Index.

Over the past six years, the “Effies” have become one of the most prominent and closely-watched rankings in the marketing and advertising industry. The 2016 Effie Index global rankings were compiled from more than 3,000 finalists and winning entries from worldwide competitions.

The Coca-Cola Company was recognized as creating the most effective marketing communications ideas from around the world. Every brand and company ranked in the Effie Index underwent rigorous evaluations of their case studies and work by expert industry judges to prove that their marketing achieved compelling results.

The Coca-Cola Company came out ahead of Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Nestlé and PepsiCo, according to the 2016 Effies ranking of companies.
