Ocean trash is a serious pollution problem that affects the health of people, wildlife and local economies. To help find a solution, Ocean Conservancy annually holds an International Coastal Cleanup event, which is the world’s largest volunteer effort for helping to clean the ocean, attracting hundreds of thousands of volunteers from around the world to remove millions of pounds of trash and debris from beaches, lakes and waterways while recording every piece of trash found. International Coastal Cleanup is The Coca-Cola Company’s premier litter abatement partnership.
