Gold Peak Sweet Tea BBQ Sauce with Chef G Garvin



  • 18.5 Ounce Bottle Gold Peak Sweet Tea
  • 1.5 Cup light brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoon canola oil
  • 3 Tablespoon diced jalapeño
  • 2 Tablespoon diced garlic
  • 3 Cup ketchup
  • .5 Cup orange juice
  • .5 Cup molasses
  • 1 Tablespoon liquid smoke
  • 1 Teaspoon garlic salt

  1. In a large saucepan, heat the oil and add the garlic, shallots and jalapeño. Sauté for 2 minutes, pour Gold Peak Sweet Tea in the saucepan over medium heat and add brown sugar. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to a simmer. Let mixture simmer until liquid is reduced down to syrup, about 15 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients. Mix well and bring to a low simmer until sauce is combined.
