On December 1, 2011—World AIDS Day—The Coca-ColaCompany announced a multi-year partnership with (RED) to help raise awareness and money for The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria with the aim of virtually eliminating mother-to-child HIV transmission by 2015. The partnership includes an initial commitment of more than $5 million from TCCC over four years. This commitment will fund awareness campaigns activated through global marketing initiatives and programs. As part of the $5 million contribution, a minimum of $3 million will be donated directly to the Global Fund for programs providing HIV testing, treatment and counseling services for people in Africa.

Our partnership with (RED) will complement the work TCCC and the Global Fund are already doing together in Africa, where we are leveraging our supply chain and distribution expertise to help improve access to critical medicines.
