Minute Maid is shaking up the shelf-stable juice aisle this spring with three product innovations packed with tasty goodness.

Minute Maid Smoothie Makers are “starter kits” that let smoothie lovers simply add ice, blend and enjoy – without the mess of chopping fruit, or the cost and time of swinging by a smoothie shop. Available in three flavors – Strawberry Banana, Peach and Tropical – Minute Maid Smoothie Makers are not only delicious and convenient, but also affordable at just 50 cents per serving. Each 32-oz. resealable carton produces eight 8-oz. servings.
“We’re excited to bring Minute Maid’s fresh fruit credentials to the smoothie category,” says Ashley Gordon, group director, Minute Maid. “This is a convenient, cost-effective option for those of us who love to make delicious smoothies at home but who don’t love cutting, cleaning up or wasting fruit.”
Minute Maid Smoothie Makers – which are great for on-the-go or at-home breakfasts, after-school snacks and other occasions – complement ready-to-drink Simply Smoothies and Odwalla Smoobucha, which are also part of The
Digital/social media and in-store sampling will support the Minute Maid Smoothie Makers launch this spring. Minute Maid is asking parents to share their funniest, most relatable stories about why they’re running late in the morning with @MinuteMaid on Twitter using the hashtag #TardiesforSmoothies. The brand will respond to select fans and help them have a “Smoothie-r” morning.
“There’s nothing else quite like this in the shelf-stable juice category, so we know we need to educate shoppers and play up how easy they are to make in a fun, informative way,” Gordon said.
Minute Maid Plus+ Antioxidants deliver delicious, juice-based refreshment and an excellent source of antioxidant vitamins A & E in three flavors – Strawberry Lemonade, Tropical Lemonade and Cherry Lemonade – sold in six-packs of 10-oz. bottles.
“Americans continue to want more out of every beverage calorie they consume, especially when it comes to juices and juice drinks,” Gordon said. “Now is the right time to capitalize on the popularity of our great-tasting ades with added nutritional benefits.”
Similarly, Minute Maid Fruit & Veggie juice boxes offer a convenient way for parents to give their kids nutritious refreshment in a great-tasting juice they’ll enjoy. Offered in Watermelon Blend and Tropical Blend, each 6-oz. juice box delivers a combined full daily serving of fruit and vegetables. Minute Maid Fruit & Veggie juice boxes are sold in eight-packs.
Gordon said the three new Minute Maid offerings bring much-needed innovation to the shelf-stable juices, a large and growing segment of the category.
“Our retail customers are hungry for more excitement in this space,” she explained. “They want to pull shoppers to the center of the store with fresh new options like these.”
