Last month, Sprite launched the “Obey Your Verse” Lyrical Collection—a series of 16 limited-edition cans featuring popular lyrics from hip-hop artists Drake, Nas, The Notorious B.I.G. and Rakim. Through the series, Sprite is celebrating well-known artists who have followed their own path and stayed true to themselves.

Sprite is continuing to inspire and enable passionate fans to continue their journey through a bodega-style pop-up called The Sprite Corner in New York’s Nolita neighborhood. The Sprite Corner at Spring and Bowery is a neighborhood spot where like-minded people can come together to support each other's creativity. The Corner will provide young adults with a series of events that can be useful and enable them to take steps in their journey. The Sprite Corner perfectly complements the Sprite Obey Your Thirst mantra of enabling and inspiring passionate fans along their journey.

There was no better way to kick off the second half of the summer than to launch The Sprite Corner with a July 16 performance by emerging hip-hop artist Vince Staples, who entertained an engaging crowd of Sprite fans with an intimate, private performance. Staples was not reserved with his love for Sprite; he took time to be sure he'd have plenty to drink during his performance. He kept the crowd hyped by having them chant “lemon and lime,” as well as cheering “We at the Sprite show!” Watch video highlights.

Three days later, the Sprite Corner hosted Eddie Huang as he engaged a crowd of food enthusiasts with a cooking demonstration. Huang made three dishes and had three sous chefs from the audience assist. He showed the audience how to make Lu Zhou Noodle, Chairman Bao® and Ox tail soup.

The Corner will feature more programming throughout the summer, focusing on a number of creative ventures, including music, art, fashion, film, comedy and cooking.

Tickets for The Sprite Corner will be made available throughout the summer through various media partners including Complex®, Vice®, The Fader®, Mass Appeal®, BET® and VIACOM®. For more information follow Sprite on Twitter using the hashtag #ObeyYourThirst.
