  • 2 Tablespoon corn starch
  • .25 Teaspoon nutmeg
  • .25 Teaspoon cinnamon
  • .75 Cup dark brown sugar
  • .5 Can Sprite Zero
  • 4 Cup fresh Georgia peaches (diced)
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 Tablespoon butter
  • 1 Teaspoon quick tapioca
  • 1 Cup cream cheese
  • .25 Teaspoon nutmeg
  • .25 Teaspoon cinnamon
  • .5 Cup powdered sugar
  • juice of lemon and zest

  1. Set aside fruit, butter and lemon juice and tapioca. Combine all remaining ingredients in medium size sauce pan and bring to boiling. Cook until thickened, about 5-7 minutes. Add fruit, lemon juice and butter. Continue to cook until thickened. If mixture is too thin, you may add the reserved tapioca and continue to cook for 2-4 minutes. *For cream cheese spread: Blend with hand mixer until smooth. Spread cream cheese mixture over fried dough, top with peach compote and garnish with powdered sugar and caramel. Serve warm.
