The final countdown to the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 and Paralympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 is on! On Thursday, Feb. 9, the world will come together to celebrate one of the most storied traditions in sports at the Opening Ceremony in South Korea.

Team USA fans will have 16 days of exhilaration and competition across a cross-section of winter sports.

Coca-Cola is making the competition even more thrilling with “Round the Clock Refreshment” via sip & scan™ technology, which debuted last year. Participants can find the sip & scan icon on labels of their favorite Coca-Cola beverages and in various locations (in-store signage and cups) and can instantly win prizes.

When fans watch live, especially at odd hours, greater prizes await. Snowboards, duffle bags, Team USA mittens, airline tickets and more are up for grabs.

Open Up Refreshment
There are three steps to refresh and win:

1.    Visit on your smartphone.

2.    Tap “scan” and provide temporary access to your smartphone camera.

3.    Snap a photo of the icon or code for a chance to win great prizes.

“There’s nothing like watching the Games live,” said Lauren Forbes Couch, senior digital engagement manager, Coca-Cola North America. “We wanted to play off that excitement by rewarding our consumers when they refresh with Coca-Cola. Utilizing our new patented sip & scan technology, our consumers can instantly score anytime, but if they watch live, they have a chance at even greater prizes!”

Heading into PyeongChang 2018 in South Korea, fans can cheer on Team USA including four world-class U.S. competitors representing Coca-Cola: Olympic freestyle aerial skier Mac Bohonnon, Olympic hopeful men’s figure skater Nathan Chen, Paralympic snowboarder Amy Purdy and Olympic bobsledder Elana Meyers Taylor.
