Building upon more than 30 years of celebrating the sound and feel of hip-hop, Sprite is keeping it cool, crisp and refreshing all summer long with a new, limited-edition collection, “The Fresh Faces Series.”   

Throughout the years, Sprite has partnered with numerous rappers and influencers who have played a major role in changing the hip-hop game through self-expression. The success of the Sprite Obey Your Verse campaign – which paid tribute to emerging and legendary artists through custom, lyrical packaging and designs – set the stage for the Fresh Faces series.   

Hitting shelves this month, the latest collection features five of the freshest personalities in hip-hop music and culture. It includes illustrated 16-oz. cans and 20-oz. bottles featuring rappers Logic, KYLE and MadeinTYO, comedian Jay Versace, and music producer Wondagurl.

This year’s group of talent continues the Sprite legacy of working with individuals who shape and redefine music culture:

Since entering the game, Logic has earned numerous accolades and made his way onto multiple lists for his abilities as a hip-hop artist, songwriter and producer. These nods include two Grammy nominations, several Billboard chart-toppers and a number of gold records.

As a member of XXL’s 2017 Freshman Class, chart-topping rapper and actor KYLE has become one of music’s hottest breakout stars thanks to his four-times-platinum certified breakout hit “iSpy (feat. Lil Yachty).” The 25-year-old Ventura, Calif. native released his highly-anticipated debut album LIGHT OF MINE last month and is spending the summer bringing his electrifying stage show as support on Logic’s “The Bobby Tarantino vs Everybody Tour.” Look out for KYLE as he stars in the Netflix film “After Party” later this summer.

MadeinTYO tore onto the scene with his debut and eventual platinum single, “Uber Everywhere,” ultimately landing as a member of XXL’s 2017 Freshmen Class. Since then, MadeinTYO has turned heads with multiple gold and platinum singles.

Paving the way for young women in music, 21-year-old platinum producer Wondagurl has created powerful beats for the likes of Jay Z, Drake, SZA, Travis Scott and Lil Uzi Vert, among others.

Comedian Jay Versace is known across the Internet for his unique humor and upbeat comedy. Since his debut, Jay has amassed more than 6 million followers or “Versavages” that support his comedic endeavors.

To help introduce the collection, Sprite will debut a 30-second commercial starring Jay Versace. The spot will premiere during the BET Awards 2018 on Sunday, June 24, and follows the comic's memorable quest for much-needed refreshment.

In addition to the commercial, an innovative summer marketing campaign will help bring all five personalities’ individual freshness to life. The platform will include a blend of custom live and animated video and interactive social content across Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Fresh Faces will also be integrated into live performances and activations during this year’s BET Experience in Los Angeles.

All Sprite Fresh Faces 16-oz. cans and 20-oz. bottles are available at leading retailers until Sept. 2, or while supplies last.
