12-27-2020

Respect for human rights is a fundamental value of The Coca‑Cola Company. We strive to respect human rights in accordance with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights in our relationships with our employees, suppliers and independent bottlers.  Our Human Rights policy applies to The Coca‑Cola Company, the entities that we own, the entities in which we hold a majority interest and the facilities that we manage. The Company also expects independent bottlers and suppliers to uphold these principles and urges them to adopt similar policies within their own businesses.

The company has established Supplier Guiding Principles (SGP) to ensure that companies supplying us with goods and services adhere to the same workplace values and expectations that we require of ourselves. As part of regular conduct of business, the company conducts third-party audits & SGP trainings of all bottling facilities as well as our suppliers around the world, including those in China, to ensure full compliance.

In terms of The Company’s advocacy efforts, the Company previously sought to explain to congressional staff the process and due diligence that we exercise over our supply chain. In accordance with US disclosure requirements, the company regularly submits disclosures about our  political advocacy. We will continue to engage directly, or through industry associations and stakeholders, to clarify questions that the legislature or Executive Branch may have with regard to supply-chain related legislation.
