03-10-2023

Sprite is teaming up with Grammy-award winning, multi-platinum selling artist and longtime collaborator Drake this summer for the hip-hop megastar’s first series of concerts in five years. As the official beverage sponsor of the upcoming “It’s All A Blur” Tour, Sprite will provide ice-cold, lemon-lime refreshment to fans across the United States and Canada. This tour of the summer will highlight why Sprite is “Your Favorite Rapper’s Favorite Soda.”

The 29-show “It’s All A Blur” tour kicks off June 17 in New Orleans and wraps Sept. 1 in Las Vegas. See the full tour schedule.

Since his last tour in 2018, Drake has released four albums, most recently “Her Loss” in collaboration with 21 Savage, which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s 200 chart and debuted all 16 songs on Billboard’s Hot 100 list.

Drake’s first worldwide deal was with Sprite for the brand’s first multi-national campaign, “Spark”, in 2010. The decade-long partnership continued in 2015 with bars from four of his biggest hits gracing Sprite cans for the inaugural edition of the “Obey Your Verse” packaging collection, which paid homage to rap’s foremost lyricists.

Since featuring Kurtis Blow in the first national hip-hop-focused ad campaign in 1986, Sprite has cemented its role as an original champion of hip-hop. The brand has worked with everyone from the genre’s legends to its up-and-comers to spark creativity, help connect music with culture, and provide its signature lemon-lime refreshment. This summer, Sprite will celebrate hip-hop’s 50th anniversary by sponsoring Drake’s “It’s All A Blur” Tour.

“Sprite has been embedded in hip-hop for almost 40 years, and it’s important we continue to show up for hip-hop and its fans in the biggest moments,” said A.P. Chaney, Creative Director, Sprite North America. “We are excited to support Drake, one of the biggest artists in the world, as the official beverage sponsor of his first tour in five years. The fact that this coincides with the 50th anniversary of hip-hop – that’s about as big as it gets for music. Sprite is here to provide its signature cut-through refreshment for every crowd through every verse.”
