Coca‑Cola North America’s no-calorie beverage portfolio welcomes its newest member this month with the launch of Peace Tea ZER-OH Pineapple Groove. The refreshment tea brand beloved by Gen Z for its bold flavors and playful personality will debut its first zero-calorie, zero-sugar starting April 22 in select convenience and grocery stores across the U.S.
Peace Tea ZER-OH Pineapple Groove will be offered exclusively in the brand’s signature 23-oz. can sporting the peace sign in a groovy color palette. The new flavor balances the smooth, mellow taste of green tea with the tropical sweetness of pineapple. This flavor profile should appeal to Peace Tea’s sweet spot of 13 to 22-year-olds and entice new drinkers, said Danielle Fisher, director of refreshment tea and tea portfolio strategy, Coca‑Cola North America.
“Peace Tea is growing steadily, and we hope the addition of ZER-OH will accelerate this growth,” Fisher added. “We’re excited to provide an offering for health-conscious consumers looking for refreshment teas with less sugar and calories – without compromising on flavor or fun.”
Diets and lights account for about 13% of the refreshment tea category, Fisher noteds, with most of these consumers reaching for these lower-calorie options exclusively. “So we see this as an untapped opportunity,” she added.
The launch will be supported throughout the summer by a summer social media campaign spanning all Peace Tea channels.
Peace Tea has been part of the Coca‑Cola North America portfolio since 2014, joining a lineup of ready-to-drink teas that also includes, Gold Peak, Honest Tea and FUZE Tea – each with unique yet complementary profiles and personalities.
