Vamsi Mohan Thati
President, Greater China and Mongolia
Vamsi Mohan Thati is president of Greater China and Mongolia for The Coca‑Cola Company. Vamsi joined the Coca‑Cola system in 1998 and has extensive experience within the system, with a strong track record of delivering results, turnarounds and building capabilities around market execution, commercial and people development. Vamsi also serves as an Outside Director on the Board of Coca‑Cola Bottlers Japan.
Prior to his current role, Vamsi served as president of Coca‑Cola’s South Pacific Business Unit (Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands).
Previously, Vamsi served as the region director for company-owned bottling businesses in India, South Asia and South East Asia. He was also the chief executive officer of the company’s bottling operations in Vietnam and Cambodia and led the efforts to return them back to sustainable growth. Prior to that, Vamsi was general manager for Coca‑Cola in Malaysia and led the setup of the greenfield bottling business there.
Vamsi joined the Coca‑Cola system in India in 1998 and has held various leadership roles in sales, operations and general management.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics and communications engineering and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, India. He has also completed the Advanced Management Program from Harvard Business School.
